Once we got back to California, we all felt like we had been animals, trapped in a small cage (or appartment) with no room to roam. We hit the first park we could find and started our summer off right, running, playing, jumping, swinging, sliding, skipping…And we didn’t stop the whole summer! Luke got his first salon haircut (LONG overdue) and experienced Fruit-by-the-Foot for the first time. We took in a Padres baseball game (or two…), spent time by the pool, celebrated Uncle Andrew’s graduation, partied at the beach, watched hot air balloons, and took in a Disneyland trip. We also went to Utah, to visit the Ellison family, and, on our way home, we stopped off in St. George to visit Luke’s great-grandparents, Snook and Papa Joe, and sight-see at Zion’s National Park. On top of everything else, Daddy studied for and passed the Oregon bar, and we found out that we were pregnant again! (In August we found out we were having…oh! Surprise!…another boy!)
After a summer full of fun and adventure, we took off for our new home, Portland Oregon. Roadtrips are fun…Roadtrips with a prego belly, bearable…Roadtrips with a prego belly, a toddler, and backroads…not so much…Needless to say, by the time we made it to Oregon, I was done with pictures…but we got a few along the way…
We reached our new home shortly before Halloween. After getting ourselves mostly moved in and Daddy started his new job, we decided to see what Oregon had to offer for Halloween/Harvest festivities and we were not disappointed.
We finished out the year with sight-seeing and visits with family. Then we prepared ourselves for the new addition…

I hear ya! Throw a dog and a cat into the mixture and you have my moving adventure. I guess they are memories to share later.
