Arlington: JFK Family, and Tomb of the Unknowns

While we were in D.C., we decided to visit Arlington--We couldn't pass it up. It was so surreal just being there...the awesome thing was--well, it was awesome for most of it anyway--it was raining most of the time we were there. It made the whole experience even more breathtaking.

When we made it to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (a.k.a. Tomb of the Unknowns), the rain was coming down pretty well. It was so cool to watch the changing of the guard with the sound of the big raindrops on everyone's umbrellas--along with all of the long black raincoats. It made for a perfect movie scene. It was totally like being in a funeral scene in some miltary movie...It gave us chills! (and no, that wasn't just the cold air mixed with the rain...it was SO COOL!)
