So at about 11:30 this morning, we decided...since it was so beautiful outside that we HAD to get out and go for a walk. The sun was shining...it was a little cold, but nothing that light jackets couldn't handle. We were out the door by 11:50, and enjoying the sun...We walked to the middle school track (down the road...about ten minutes at most)
After about three minutes...the sun suddenly DISAPPEARED! The wind started whipping and, looking over in the direction of the oncoming clouds, I saw that ugly gray that foretells rain. "Ope! Time to go!" I said happily (of course we had plenty of time to get back home).
Within five minutes the rain was pouring down on us.
By noon(ish)...We made it back to the house with slight water damage to our clothes, but nothing we couldn't laugh about. Luke, of course, wanted to go play out in the rain...so I let him. He was out there for two minutes when...(duh...duh...duhn...)
What the...HAIL??? Where did that come from?? Needless to say, Luke raced inside (scared to death), ready to eat a sandwich for lunch.
(Apparently food is a good remedy for fear...who knew?)
So let's say Luke got in his chair by about noon-thirty(ish)...Ten minutes later, I suddenly realize...Hey look! The SUN is back! (don't know if you can tell by the picture) And all traces of the HAIL had vanished...
I've come to realize, the weather is unpredictable...
