So last night, Wednesday (the night before Thanksgiving), we decided to go check out the balloons that were going to be in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday morning...They were actually really cool...Pictures do not do them justice...Even when you see people standing next to them, you can't get the full affect...they are AWESOME!!
So first balloon we saw was, of course, someone we know well in our Toy Story watchin' family..."Buzz-Buzz-Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!":
And just because he was there, we took a picture of Spongebob:
Random Beethoven the dog balloon:
The second coolest green dude around Shrek--sadly,there was no Donkey...bummer:
This is the best shot of his face that we could get...It was kind of frustrating:

We have Horton, from Horton Hears a Who:

Pikachu (sp?) from the Pokemon thing was there:

We didn't know what this balloon was, so we took a picture (I didn't get the heart in the first one so I took another)...Come to find out--when we watched the Parade broadcast on Thanksgiving morning--It's a tribute to a local artist, I don't know his name, who's family started a foundation when he died. The reporters never said what caused his death, but they did get a shot of the man's family leading the balloon through the parade...It was pretty cool...

We saw Ronald McDonald:

And last, but certainly not least, we saw the Energizer Bunny. Even when he's a massive balloon, he's
so cute!:

Okay, so the whole reason we wanted to go the night before the parade to see the balloons was to avoid the crowds that would be at the parade Thanksgiving morning...Let me just say that, if the parade crowd was worse...I'm so glad we didn't go...

p.s. we took pictures of the crowd for my family...Dad, we've decided that you would have a stressful time here in NYC...

HAHAHA I love it! Dad would definately have a stressful time in NYC. This is so great. I can't believe how many people were there. I'm shocked! It is NYC. And I thought Orem was getting crowded! HAHAHA Love your face!
ok... I just have to say, "How Cool is That?!?" You were right there. Crazy!!! Your Uncle Brent hates crowds too... and those were insane to the max! Can't even imagine what it would have been like Thanksgiving morning.
Love ya sweet cheeks!

That is soooooo cool! It sounds like you guys are having a lot of fun in NYC. I know what you mean about missing things out west. After I came back from NY I couldn't go anywhere with crowds for a long time. The balloon pictures are awesome! Cali misses you!
